The rain beats down
Melinda’s hair waves
her eyes breathe a fire
as I touch her luminous face

She dances across the bedroom floor
I stand leaning against the door
just admiring her naked female form
in the soft warm light of the night

She has men who will give her anything
she sits on the bed and softly sings
and talks about how she loves the rain
I step forward and take her in my arms again

Sometimes when I look into her eyes
I see a teenage girl struggling to be alive
and become the woman she needs to be
what I really want to see
is whether Melinda longs for me

Her passion is boundless
as I breathe against her naked skin
Once you’ve tasted the love
of a red haired woman
you can never go back again

As I lie naked against her
I can’t help but admire
this woman with the heart
of a lioness
Fills me with desire
when I feel her naked body
what I really want to see
is whether Melinda
longs for me
