My love is like a sweet sweet peach
so fine, so juicy, so out of reach
I plunge my arms into the sky
alas the peach rests too high
I hunger to caress the fuzzy flesh
to nuzzle the succulent tenderness
probe the fruit with my hungry lips
while my tongue explores it’s nectar depths
feel the explosion as I bite in
and the creamy juice runs down my chin
heart emboldened I climb the tree
that sweet ripe peach belongs to me!
determined at last the branch I reach
only to dislodge the peach
I descend the tree but to my dismay
another man has taken my peach away
I bow my head my heart in pain
my peach is gone
my quest in vain
